The pie charts compare the results of a university survey regarding the opinions of full-time and part-time students about library service. Overall, the disparity between the views of full-time and part-time students about IT support was more pronounced, with the former showing greater satisfaction whereas the latter were considerably less satisfied. In terms of opening hours, by contrast, the majority of students were positive regardless of their enrolment status.
Regarding IT support, 55% of full-time students were very happy, which was more than double the figure for their part-time counterparts (20%). In fact, the lion’s share of part-time students (45%) were highly dissatisfied compared to a mere 13% of those studying full-time. The percentage of neutral students, on the other hand, was largely similar, ranging from 32% to 35%.
As for the opening hours, the proportion of part-time students who expressed high satisfaction was 72% – the highest figure on the chart, whereas those in a full-time course constituted 67%. The figure for full-time students who were moderately satisfied with opening hours was similar to that of IT support at 32%, while part-time students made up about 23%. Meanwhile, those studying full-time who gave the opening hours a poor rating accounted for a mere 1% as opposed to 5% of part-time students.
