While some individuals say that academic education should have free access for anybody, other consider that students should cover for their higher education on their own. I believe that tertiary education should be cost-free.
Every individual should have free access to university education. This is because some may have very big potential but no financial resources and its not their fault they ended up like this. Therefore, universities investing in students leads to highly qualified specialists in every field. That is why every investment in students will pay off later. For example, in UK universities that offered free courses ended up with a bigger number of students in their classes. Due to this there is no financial discrimination and everyone got a chance to demonstrate and improve their professional abilities.
On the other hand, free education cand lead to big financial loses for universities. The reason for this is because some may sign up for higher education courses just because it is free, not because they really desire a professional career. In result universities invest more than recieve. Usually only students with big potential and desire to learn pay big fees for academic education. For instance, a survey showed that private universities that have really expensive fees got better students than a public one. Like this universities have more highly qualified emplyees in the future and their effort pays off.
In conclusion, everyone should have free access to university education. I think that no matter the financial background, universities should give everybody a chance to become professionals.
