Overall, the consumption of cheese has experienced an upward trend with significant increase with only several minor drops over the time period. In contrast, Full-Fat Ice cream consumption has declined gradually with one noticeable fall between 1985 and 1990. The consumption of Low-Fat Ice Cream has witnessed several insignificant declines and climbs from 1985 to 2000 but then levelled off. In comparison, there was a dramatic growth of yoghurt consumption with sudden rise between 1995 and 2005.
With regards to the consumption of cheese, it started 1970 with around 7.5 pounds per person and then it had rocketed to more than 20 pounds per person by 2010. Similarly, the consumption of yoghurt experienced the same trends as the consumption of cheese, starting 1970 with just around 1 pound per person and finishing the given time period with approximately 10 pounds per person. Furthermore, there was significant growth of the consumption of yoghurt after a slight decrease in 1995.
As for Full-Fat Ice Cream, although the consumption of it started 1970 with more than 10 pounds per person, it declined gradually to 10 pounds in 1990. Subsequently, it had been falling slightly to around 9% by 2010. Likewise, the consumption of Low-Fat Ice Cream also followed the same trend as the consumption of Full-Fat Ice Cream, going down to around 3%, followed by the volatile period between 1990 and 1998 and remaining stable by 2010.
