Nowadays, individuals who live in big cities experience many problems. These problems involve massive traffic jams and less safety. In my opinion, one of the most efficient ways governments can stop these events from occurring is to encourage people to move to less populated areas.
In today’s world an increase in population can have its own negative consequences such as people wasting most of their time in traffic jams or an incline in the number of crimes committed.
To illustrate, the vast majority of the population tend to drive their own personal car. As a result, when the population in big cities increases the number of vehicles rises consequently and eventually causes traffic. Additionally, in order to have a safe environment in a city, citizens need to feel safe. However, an increase in population causes the amount of illegal activities such as robbery and drug dealing to increase.
Personally speaking, I think that governments can play a crucial role in preventing such events from happening by persuading individuals to move to smaller regional towns. For example, they can propose a small proportion of money to residents and in exchange they move to smaller towns. In addition, governments can also pass heavy fines for violating the rules. Therefore, people who are no longer able to pay these fines will gradually leave megapolices and settle in less populated cities.
In conclusion, living in enormous cities comes with disadvantages such as being stuck in traffic for hours or even resulting in more illegal activities committed. I personally think that governments can be beneficial by intervening and persuading individuals to move to smaller areas.
