In the current era of cutting-edge technology, internet and computers have made employees to perform their daily duties without visiting workplace. Some people opine that this trend of working from home should be promoted as it is beneficial for workers. I strongly agree with the following statement. Reasons for the same will be discussed in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, a lot of time is involved in travelling from one’s residence to office, which otherwise could be preserved if a person is allowed to work from home, eventually leading to increase in overall efficiency. Moreover, by avoiding long distance travel to office, unnecessary fatigue caused by travelling from one place to another can be easily avoided, eventually making them work more productively. Furthermore, significant amount of money can be saved that is spent on the same.
Additionally, with the help of advanced computers or even smartphones, one can work from distant areas without making a visit to job site. For instance, during period of the pandemic of Covid-19 when everyone was forced to stay at home due to lockdown, people were still able to attend meeting through online portals such as Google Meet. Lastly, if employers adopt a policy to allow its workforce to work from, one can take care of his/her family members while performing work related obligation, especially for the parents who need to look after their young child.
In conclusion, after considering the points discussed in the abovementioned paragraphs, I firmly believe that the workers and employees should be encouraged to work from home as they can perform their duties with more efficiently and effectively while preserving energy and money spent on travelling to and from office.
