With the development of technology and its application in every field, the fluctuation of the economy, the reduction of old companies and the appearance of new businesses, as a result, the rate of job hopping is rising in the young generation. While I accept that there are some obvious benefits of this trend, I believe the disadvantages are more enormous.
On the one hand, young people tend to change their job frequently. This tendency seems to be worthy as they can grab the opportunities for getting better jobs with higher salary and importantly suitable for the situation at that time. The causes of this phenomena are from policies of cutting human resources, the pressure of workload, and sometimes, attitudes of colleagues and bosses.
On the other hand, job hopping still has worth-considering drawbacks. Firstly, working at an agency or company for a short term and then quitting to apply for a new job will affect badly your CV if this happens frequently. The employers, in addition, will underestimate those CVs because the experience of working in short time can not be the base for them to judge. Secondly, businesses which have staffs hopping many times will get trouble in human resource management because of having to instantly find new additional employees. This also interrupts the operation process and even decrease the productivity.
In conclusion, the youth should learn to adapt work environment and change themselves to meet the requirements of businesses, therefore, they will have stable jobs instead of hopping job.
