The given table illustrates forested land in different parts of the world, namely in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, South America. It provides numbers measured in 1990, 2000 and 2005, which are given in millions of hectares.
In 1990 the largest forested land is in Europe, it was 898million hectares, after comes South America with 949million. The smallest forest area is in Oceania, it is just 199.
Asia’s green area is 576million hectares. Average ones are Africa and North America. They are approximately the same, sequentially 749 and 708․ Second bar shows the territories after 10 years in 2000. Here Europe is again the leader. Despite of the decrease in South America it remains the second according to its forest territory. The same is in Oceania, North America and Asia, they stay nearly unchangeable. Africa has a drop in 40million hectares. Last bar gives information about 2005. In this year Africa and South America keep going down. Europe reaches to its peak, 1001million. What about Oceania and Asia, they both experience an increase, one with 1million and another with 14million. North America levels out.
