Some individuals are of the opinion that employees who take on top administrative roles should earn more that others working at the same organization. I completely agree with this idea and this essay will discuss why.
To begin with, becoming a senior manager at a company requires that one possess high qualifications such as a masters or doctorate degree. It is only fair for that someone with these certificates ate paid more salary than those who have only a bachelors degree or below that. For instance, one of the reasons why the head of department at my unit receives a larger sum than other nurses is because she is the only Doctors of Nursing practice working there.
Secondly, managers have bigger responsibilities within the organization. They are in charge of recruiting new workers, training on what is required of them and also supervising to ensure they are carrying out their duties and all of these determine the success of the establishment. For example, the ward manger at the hospital I work carry out a quarterly evaluation of the newly employed nurse to ensure they are conforming with established standards of the facility and she also provides corrections where necessary. Furthermore, employees who hold lower positions highly depend on administrators, especially in terms of conflicts resolution and maintaining constant availability of resources needed for work to be done.
In conclusion, individuals with managerial roles should be paid more because they are the main directors, who push the company towards success. Also, they have more qualifications than those whontake lesser roles.
