Band 6+: In today's competitive world, many families find it necessary for both parents to go out to work. While some say the children in these families benefit from the additional income, others feel they lack support because of their parents' absence. Discuss both these views and give your opinions.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The question of whether both parents should work is very topical today, as so many people are struggling with financial worries. There are valid arguments on both sides, which I will discuss now.

On the one hand, it is often said that working with both parents is one way to strengthen financial power, for instance, by being business partners, and there is certainly some truth in this. In addition, they may concentrate more on jobs, and this may result in the presence of greater job skills and pay increments. For example, parents who are strongly involved in their profession have succeeded in job prospects and have gained greater work expertise. Finally, employed and professionally active parents serve as a catalyst for reducing the risk of financial constraints and boosting economic strength, and in this sense, it is a worthwhile action.

On the other hand, other people point out the dangers of a lack of support from parents, for example, absence and not being interested in their children’s future, which is often committed by some parents. Young people in particular are vulnerable to being influenced like this. Furthermore, opponents of dual-income parents often point out that, without adequate supervision of children, if continued over time, people may put their children at the risk of mental and physical illnesses. This is especially true in the current family situation. Lastly, on this side of the debate, people emphasize the need for parents to create reinforced supervision and strengthened support, which will ultimately increase their children’s security and improve the work/life balance of parents.

In conclusion, it seems to me that the potential dangers of two-income households are more significant than the possible benefits.
