The given diagrams give information about the transformation of the city from 1950 to now.
In general, this city has experienced a number of changes. Transportation facilities and city landscape were transformed, while two areas and the old road remained stable.
Looking at the map of this city in 1950 with just 20,000 city dwellers, the business district and residential area existed in the center of the city, where two major roads intersected. The first one running from the west to the east of the city connected to an airport existing in the west. In contrast to this one, the second road running from the north to the south crossed the river via a bridge, which was located near the government building in the south.
As of now, with the city’s population increased to 200,000, the residential area and business district have been expanded to be larger than ever before to come across a big lake. Additionally, the old bridge has also been enlarged, while the new one has been built and is located in the east, connecting the new road running from the west to the east to the airport that has been upgraded near the dam constructed in the west of the lake. The new government building is situated to the south of the residential area, while the old one was smaller. However, the old major road to the east of the city has remained stable.
