Nowaday, the explosion of medical technology has reduced mortality rates and helped people live longer than before. This has obvious benefits for individuals, but the benefits for society are bit less certain.

Longer life expectancy has a number of positive impacts on society. First, individuals can contribute to the workforce for longer periods of time, bringing experience and stability to industries. For example, many older professionals in fields such as education or health care continue to provide valuable expertise. Additionally, longer life expectancy allows family members to spend more time together, strengthening the family bond.

As human life expectancy increases, the first problem is overpopulation. As the population ages and new generations emerge, countries are suffering from overpopulation. Secondly, if the population ages and reaches retirement age, it means that they do not contribute significantly to the national economy. Thirdly, this problem also contributes to the depletion of natural resources, which is a concern for future generations. In addition, overpopulation will cause a shortage of space. For example, as the number of people increases, there will be a need for housing. Many green spaces, forests and ecosystems are destroyed and converted into residential areas, affecting the environment.

In short, when human life expectancy is extended, bringing advantages but also disadvantages. It is essential for governments and communities to find solutions to balance the positives and negatives of this development.
