The bar chart shows information about the types of modes of transportation used by visitors who visited New Zealand from five different countries in 2004.
Looking more in detail, it is clear that about 50 and 55% of Japanese travel by air and coach, representing the higher percentage among the tourists. Car and ferry on the other side were less popular between them. Comparing British and German citizens with other nationalities, they preferred primarily cars (60% and about 52%, respectively), and secondly, around 35% of British chose ferries and air as their main ways to travel around the country, while more than 45% of the people from Germany opted for ferries. Only a small percentage of Germany and Britain chose coach.
Among Korean and Australian tourists, about 45% and 50% opted for a car. The second most popular means of transportation for Koreans and Australians was a coach and ferry, respectively.
In conclusion, we can see that traveling by car and ferry was the most common way to explore the country for most of the visitors, followed by air. Fewer visitors chose coach.
