The table shows how much males and females in Tokyo, Japan listened to music over the last month , while the pie chart reveals information about worldwide findings of a record company about what people prefer more – listen to live or recorded music.
Overall, there was a greater percentage of males who listened to music through all categories except CDs with the majority of males using MP3-players. In addition, seven out of ten youngers preferred listen to live music.
As can be seen from the table, the numbers for MP3-players, which were used by males, were 79%, while the figures for live music and the internet were lower, at 60%, 55%. According to females , the rates for live music, MP3-player were almost identical to those for internet (44%, 40%, 42%). What is more interestingly is that the figures for CDs of females were higher tha males
Looking at the pie chart, there was a pure difference between the preferences. We can see that the a massive 70% of listeners chose listen to live music , while just over a quarter of subjects picked listen to recorded music. Moreover , only a mere 4% of listeners did not have any idea.
