Band 5+: The natural resources such as oil, forests and fresh water are being consumed at an alarming rate. What problems does it cause? How can we solve these problems?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

A matter of great concern today is the use of natural resources becoming an integral part of the rising debate in the present world. The focus of this essay sheds light on the cause of overconsumption and proposes possible solutions. In the following paragraphs, I will illustrate these problems in detail and suggest ways to address them.

To commence with the main cause related to natural resources is overpopulation. The reason for this is that due to the demand of residents, the government have to exploit some necessary energy such as water or fossil fuel which is indispensable in daily life and economic activities. In addition, another undeniable cause is the problem involved in management. This means some individuals take illegal activities to make personal interests exacerbating the seriousness of the incident directly. As a result, more than thousands of kilometres of forest had been exploited without authorization destroying the economic value in this region.

However, in my opinion, the best approach for the government to overcome this is to raise the awareness of residents. It is often argued that due to shortcomings in education methods, people are not fully aware of the seriousness of the situation, leading to inadequate efforts in addressing environmental issues. Furthermore, the government should enhance the protection of natural resources making it an urgent mission. This is because of the fact that most people think energy is plentiful, they can be regenerated, therefore, they take granted for this resources. Subsequently, the adoption of clean energy can greatly reduce our dependence on non-renewable resources

To conclude, the consumption of natural resources has become a crucial part of our life. It is expected that this trend will continue to increase in the future
