The given pie charts compare the spending on various utilities at one university between 2000 and 2010
Overall, it is clear that there was an upward trend in the costs of eating out, electricity and water, and transport during the 2000 and 2010, while the figures of food and drink, holidays, sports and culture stayed constant over 10 years. In addition, the payments in clothing experienced a dramatic fall at that period, making it the least figure of the total number.
Regarding the ratio of stable services, the number of food and drink accounted for 29%, which is the most popular for students, approximately three times of the total from 2000 to 2010. Similarly, the part of holidays, sports and cultural have kept the data for 10 years, at 5% and 17% respectively.
It is immediately obvious that eating out was gradually becoming utilized more by students, which began at 4% in 2000, then increased slightly to 8% in 2010. With respect to the figure of other utilities, it rose rapidly by 6% in 10 years. Likewise, the number of students paid for transport, showing a minimal growth of just 1% during 2000 and 2010. Meanwhile, the reverse was true for the segment of clothing, starting at 16% in 2000 and reducing to 5% after 10 years.
