Nowadays, because of digital advancements in technology, many companies allow their employees to work from home. Remote work has some benefits at the workplace, but others think that it creates some problems in their lives.
To start with, most people choose to work from home because they think that staying at home and working remotely is beneficial for them and their family members. Firstly, remote work saves both time and money. For example, they can save time on transportation and also save money. Secondly, they are able to give proper time to their family members, like picking up and dropping off their children for school and other activities. Even because of fast work, they save time and can use this extra time for other activities. For example, they can use this time for other side businesses, from which they can make more money. Moreover, they get proper meals on time and also get breaks in between work for refreshment.
On the opposite side, others think that working remotely causes a person to lose personal space for their work. They just sit in one place and handle all the meetings from there. They do not have a chance to meet other people physically and only communicate with others virtually, which might feel boring. Furthermore, family dependency increases on that person, and sometimes if it is not possible to manage, it could cause some problems.
Moreover, working at one place is not a good sign for health because the person is not aware of the outside environment as they are mostly busy with office work and the rest of the time doing household work. This situation makes them more stressed. It also affects a person’s mental and physical health because of less activity, and they might develop some diseases in their body and become mentally weaker.
To sum up, like every situation has two sides, working from home is more dangerous as compared to its benefits. Therefore, my suggestion is that companies should avoid allowing work from home and try to convince their associates to come to the office, meet other people, and complete their tasks. This is more useful for the company’s future.
