The given maps depict the developments that happen in a village park over a period of 10 years. It can be seen that there is significant transformation taken place in this period of time.
10 years ago, the village park is fairly simple with the entrance in its north west. The football pitch is situated in the centre of the park and there is a car park in the north west of the park which accommodates about 20 cars. There is 2 tennis court is in the northern side and a children’s play area next to it. A pond and woods are located in the south east side nearer to the football pitch.
After a decade, so many developments are happened. A cycle path is created in periphery of the village park and the tennis court is doubled. The football pitch and children’s play area remain in the same locations, but a children’s soft play area is introduced nearer to the children’s play area. The parking area is expanded and it would accommodate about 50 cars. The pond is transformed into a boating lake and the woods has cut down and made into a café in that location. A picnic area is introduced in the south west side and toilets nearer to the football pitch and children’s soft play area.
Overall, the area of the park is not expanded but the changes and implementation of new infrastructures made the developments in the village park after 10 years.
