The bar chart illustrates the percentage of age groups getting each day news from three different media, namely social networking, radio and microblogging, in 2011.
Overall, radio was the most popular in all age groups, except 10-17 ages, while microblogging was used the least from 10 to over 65 years old. Besides, the percentage of people who use social networking reduced when they got older.
The rate of people falling into the 10 to 29 ages who used social platform was 80%, but it decreased significantly at a half in the next age group, 30-49 years old. In construct, a dramatic growth from 40% to about 92% was seen in the level of people in the age range of 19 to 29, which fell minimally at 90% in the third group. Moreover, the percentage of people under 17 years old using microblogging was 20%, which rose by 5% in next group and then declined under 20 in the third of group.
turning to the people aged 50 and over, the percentage of 50 to 64 year old people who use social networking and microblogging to get everyday news was 40% and about 15%, respectively, while that of radio was the highest percentage in this group , at nearly 90%. In the end of age group, the number of people 65 and over using in both three types of media was also dropped at around 35%, 10% and 85%, respectively.
