Overall, radio was the most commonly used type of media to get daily news across all age groups, except for teenagers. In contrast, microblogging was the least source of news for all age groups.
To begin with, radio was the most widely used source of daily news across all age groups, except for teenagers. Among, those aged 10-17, social networking was the most popular medium. Similarly, in the 18-29 age group, social networking was second most preferred source after radio. In all other age groups (30-39, 50-64, 65+), radio remained the dominant form of media for accessing news.
Microblogging was the least commonly used method of accessing daily news across all age groups. However, among those aged 18-29, its usage was slightly higher, at nearly 25%. In contrast, for other age groups, the proportion of people using microblogging ranged from around 10% to 20%
