When people apply for a job, the question of whether to include more personal data on their CV arises. While some individuals in society support this idea, others oppose it. From my perspective, sharing additional personal information as requested by employers is only temporary.
Many companies require a variety of information from employees for various reasons. Firstly, individuals must provide data to access insurance benefits when needed. This information is necessary to register and verify their eligibility. Having insurance allows employees to access medical services when sick, as well as discounts at pharmacies and hospitals.
On the contrary, some people believe that providing only a summary of personal data is sufficient and that there is no obligation to disclose more information. They consider it a risky idea, fearing that employers may misuse their personal information, such as taking out loans in their name.
In my opinion, the advantages of sharing more data with employers outweigh the drawbacks. While sharing more information may not be temporary, it is beneficial for employees to have a deeper understanding of their employer. For instance, in case of emergencies at work, employees need to know whom to contact. Those with spouses must inform them, while single individuals should reach out to their immediate family. Furthermore, many companies like to acknowledge employees’ birthdays, which requires knowing more about them.
Overall, the issue of sharing personal data with employers is a significant concern in today’s society. While some individuals oppose sharing more data, others believe it is crucial. Employers often need detailed personnel information for registration with insurance companies.
