Pollution and environmental destruction are always caused by the development and the growth of the economy of a nation, and these phenomena are unavoidable. From my personal perspective, the aforementioned idea is partly justified.
On the one hand, the development of a nation stems from various factors, which are mainly due to the national industry. Most of the industries in the industrial sector are based on machine operations, which consume a lot of fossil fuels and the consumption of such a lot of fuel leads to an overload of waste such as CO2 and SO2 released into the environment. For instance, VietNam is a developing country and its capital, which has many industrial parks, is one of the most polluted cities in the world.
On the other hand, this phenomenon can be stopped. Because when a country becomes rich and developed, it will have a large amount of money to invest in education and raise awareness in children’s minds about environmental protection. Moreover, developed countries can limit the growth of industry and replace it with other environmentally friendly. For example, England, Denmark, and Sweden are developed and wealthy countries, but they are still among the cleanest countries in the world.
In conclusion, as aforementioned, I partly agree with the mentioned idea, as there are many methods to limit the pollution and destruction to the environment among developing countries.
