We have tight deadlines and the whole project is worth a stake due to the pressure of the manager regarding of sales KKI. And at that time I decided to delegate some tasks from her. As first of all, I trust her capability. In addition, I was full of effort at that time. I could not take any more responsibility. When I handled the task sure, I thought that I did pretty good demonstration of what need to be done. However, Ling was not fully understand the goal of the task. So she was left confused and unaware of the importance of this task. And by the time the deadline is set, by the time to commit the deadline, she failed to do so. And it resulted in the fact that the whole team was being reminded by the manager. And this was a pretty serious situation for the whole team. At first, I was pretty much frustrated that she didn’t ask me first, however she eventually came to me and apologized for missing the deadline and eventually I will also take this as a reminder of how I should be careful when delegate job to make sure that my junior know the importance as well as the context of the task itself.
