The map illustrates the city of Brandfield. There are a City Centre, a Housing Estate, an Industrial Estate, a Golf Course, a park, a railway and a river. Two sites have been proposed for building a new shopping mall.
The first site seems to be a reasonable choice because of a location. It’s situated between the Housing Estate on the north and the City Centre on the south. Because of this two areas, more people are going to visit the shopping mall. Moreover it’s close to the railway and roads which makes it easier to reach. The shopping mall would be located near the river, park and the Golf Course which are attractive recreation points.
The second site is located on the city’s edge on the southeast between the railway and the road. Despite of a good communication it’s further from the House Estate which might be a significant drawback. However the site 2 is located on the south to the Industrial Estate it wouldn’t guarantee as many customers as the House Estate.
In conclusion, both sites are easy to reach because of roads and the railway but first site has better location for citizens.
