The chart above illustrated six to seven activities that were undertaken in an office in 1980 and 2000. These activities varied within the two years for instance the computer was seen to skyrocket while others such as using the phone and paper documents declined.
In 1980, the least popular activity was using the computer which was at 2% but this rose to 30% in 2000 covering the largest piece on the pie chart. The use of phone, paper documents and meetings declined steadily from 30% to 14%, 20% to 10% and 19% to 9% respectively. These three activities seemed to popular in 1980 unlike in 2000.
However, only two activities remained constant within the two years, that being, other activities at 15% and face-to-face communication at 14%. Besides that, there was the introduction of email in 2000 which accounted for 8%. Overally, it seemed the adoption of technology led to the creation and decline of certian activities.
