The current Norbiton Industrial area and its future development plan are illustrated on the provided map.
Overall, the present factories are expected to be rebuilt into housing, followed by the facilities development. Several new facilities, including a school, a playground, shops, and a medical center, are planned to enhance the area’s infrastructure. New road system and a bridge are planned to be constructed in order to improve the transportation system.
Specifically, the present factories, concentrated near the roundabout and along the main road, will mostly be replaced by housing. The factories to the east of the roundabout will be removed, with residential housing replacing them. Additionally, a playground is planned to be constructed in the eastern section as well.
However, the farmland to the north will remain, but a bridge over the river will be added to connect the northern area with the residential zone. Moreover, at the south of the roundabout, a medical center and several shops will be built.
