In the past, there were many factories located around the traffic circle and a farmland on another side of the river. Later, the factories were replaced by houses, the school, playground, shops and medical centre are also built in this area, making it completely turn into a housing area. Near the river, there is a bridge for crossing to another housing zone, and the farmland is moved to the east. In the south, there is another traffic circle that connected to the old one.
In conclusion, Norbiton industrial area has developed into a housing area by adding the facilities and break down the factories in order to make this area more suitable for living.
