Generally, it is clear that nearly all age groups spend a considerable amount of time checking on their emails. Not only do the younger generation download and stream music but they also play games on the internet as their major activities while the elderly spend more time on shopping and travel reservations.

From the table, more than 90 per cent of the activities across all age groups include checking on emails. The younger generation around teenage and twenties have 80 and 88 per cent of their activities around online games but this reduces drastically to 36 per cent in the thirties and is lowest in the fifties at 20 percentage before rising slightly to 27 and 29 per cent in the sixties and seventies respectively. The teens spend 52 per cent of their time downloading music and videos while those in the twenties use 46 per cent on this activity. In the thirties, music and video download activities drop to 27, 15 per cent in the fourties before dropping drastically as the population ages.

At 74 percent, those in the thirties make the most travel reservations on the internet while teens do not make travel arrangements at all. Online purchases are popular among all age groups but more common among those in their thirties and less common among those in their teens and above seventy at 39 and 40 per cent respectively.
