The pictures illustrate how the ground floor of an art gallery has changed from 2005 to the present day.
Overall, the ground floor underwent a number of significant changes, the most important of which were the relocations and introductions of several rooms and facilities. It is also important to note that the reception desk was redesigned.
Looking first at features that are closer to the entrance, there used to be a large Exhibition Room 4 in the bottom left corner of the floor, but it was then removed to make way for a Temporary Exhibitions area and a children’s area. Exhibition Rooms 1 and 2 in the bottom right corner of the floor remain unchanged. However, the reception desk was redesigned as a circular table and moved to the center of the floor. It is also noteworthy that a ramp for wheelchairs was added outside the entrance.
Moving onto features that are farther from the entrance, Exhibition Room 3 in the top right corner of the floor has stayed the same since 2005. Stairs to the upper floor were cut down to create space for a lift between it and Exhibition Room 3. Finally, the gallery office, café and shop were replaced by a gallery shop in the top left corner of the floor. It is also noticeable that three vending machines which provide coffee and food were added next to the gallery shop.
