The two layouts depict the changes made to an art gallery between 2005 and the present day when it had been modernized and versatile.
Overall, it is noticeable that this gallery witnessed striking transformations, particularly on the left-hand side of the floor. Additionally, while a number of facilities have been converted and renovated, several new features have been added to the building, which make it more accessible for the disabled.
To be more specific, on the left of the maps, there used to be a gallery office and a café in the top left-hand corner of the room, but it was replaced by a gallery shop, with three vending machines installed in front. Furthermore, exhibition room 4 has been demolished to make way for an interactive children’s playground and a temporary exhibition room. Besides that, the reception desk has been relocated towards the entrance hall of the gallery.
On the right of maps, the three exhibition rooms on the right-hand side of the building remain unchanged, and there is the addition of a lift next to exhibition room 3, making the stairs to the upper floor smaller. Meanwhile, a ramp for wheelchair users has been added to the front entrance so that disabled visitors could have better experiences.
