This diagram shows the process of removing salt from sea water to produce drinking water.
First of all, Salt water from the sea is taken into pretreatment filter. It is performed to remove out the filter backwash as a waste and is returned to sea. In the next step, water coming from pretreatment filter is forced to pass through the membrane at high pressure. At this time, impurities and salt are produced as residue and are thrown back to sea.
At the same time, the water molecules which are filtered from membrane are processed in the post treatment with lime chlorine and fluoride as a final stage of manufacturing sea water to be drinkable. Following that, the purified drinkable water is produced and it is collected in the storage and It is delivered to integrated water supply system for distribution.
It is clear that the process of removing salt from sea water to produce drinking water by filtering purified water molecules form sea water.
