The bar graph illustrates the amount of electricity production and consumption in ten countries in the year of 2014.
Overall, every countries production exceeded consumption except Germany. Additionally, among all the countries China was the highest producer and user of electricity.
In detail, China led the generation and consumption of power with 5,398 billion kwh and 5,322 billion kwh, followed by the United States with 4,099 and 3,866 billion kwh respectively. In contrast, the Republic of Korea produced and used the least electricity only 485 and 449 billion kwh respectively.
In terms of Japan, India, Canada, France and Brazil, their outputs ranged from 530 to 936 billion kwh, while their usages ranged from 455 to 856 billion kwh. Only Russia’s generation and usage was over 1000 billion kwh, at 1057 and 1038 billion kwh respectively. Germany was exceptional where consumption was over production with shortage of around 50 billion kwh.
