The maps illustrate changes that took place in Eastminster between 1999 and 2009.
Overall, the most significant feature of the maps is that the place became modernized and more convenient with housing area.
In detail, in 1999, there was a river in the middle of the place which divided the area into the north and the south. Above the river, houses, a large house with a garden and a park were found, and on the other side, there were streets of houses, a public garden, and shops. On the southwest part, there was a hospital and a school nearly. In addition, a railway station was located in the south.
On the other hand, after 10 years, the large house with the garden converted into a hotel with a golf course. Thus, the houses in the north were expanded by almost threefold, while the park was reduced by half. In addition, the streets of houses in the east disappeared to make room for apartment blocks. Although the hospital and the shops unchanged, the school was moved to near the hotel. Also, new factories and warehouses and shopping complex were built above the station.
