The bar graph illustrates data on Southland’s three crucial export sectors, namely worldwide tourism, dairy and meat products in the year of 2000 and 2023 as well as projected figures for 2025.
Overall, the chart shows that international tourism and dairy products have been Southland’s dominant export sectors. Hoverer, while meat products are projected to decline gradually by 2025, global tourism is expected to continue rising step-by-step in the future.
In 2000, the international tourism showed the highest rate of exporting, at about £8 billion and this figures increased slightly in the following years. In the year of 2025, worldwide tourism is expected to rise from almost £9 billion to £10 billion. Moreover, dairy goods saw a significant improvement to over £10 billion in the recent years. However, this projections may decline slowly to around £9 billion.
On the other hand, meat products have followed a downward trend. In 2000, this sectors generated approximately £6 billion. Indeed, they went down to nearly £5.5 billion. It is expected that the level of meat products may drop to around £5 billion by 2025.
