The data present the proportions of mobile phone operating systems—iOS, Android, and Windows—in five countries: the UK, USA, Germany, China, and Brazil.
Overall, Android shares dominated in all five countries, while usage of Windows was the lowest. Additionally, the percentage of iOS users was higher in the USA and in the UK than in other countries.
In the UK and USA, Android platform users made up just over half of the total proportion in each country. The majority of users also preferred the iOS operating system in the UK (40%) and America (43%). Notably, Windows usage accounted for the lowest rate in Britain and the USA, 7.5% and 4%, respectively.
The figures regarding Android users in Germany and China showed around the same percentages, both just under three-quarters. The fraction of German iOS users was twice as many as that of Windows users. Although, a quarter of the total share in China was comprised of iOS platform users, whereas Windows stood at 1%—the lowest figure on the chart. Lastly, the largest amount of Android users was in Brazil—at 91%.
