Over the following years, it increased noticeably to hit a peak of three-fifths at the end of the period.
Turning the focus to the young adults, the figure for males was 50% initially, followed by a slight decrease of roughly 5%, culminating in 45%. In contrast, females had 30% at the beginning, but it declined by 10% in 2006.
