Regarding the countries that have higher figure for females, the percentage of university-level education certifications for males in Switzerland was the highest at 45%, while that of females was recorded at 35%. Similarly, the proportion of females in Britain was at 35% in 2001, which was lower 5% than that for males at 40%. Besides that, Japan also showed a similar pattern while higher education qualification in females was recorded at 25% and still lower 5% than that of males.
In contrast, the largest gender gap between the two cohorts was documented in Germany, where males and females accounted for 35% and 45%, respectively. Remarkably, the figure for females at 40% in United States higher than that of males at 35%.
