The bar graph compares the number of travellers from Britain, USA and Japan to Australia from 1995 to 2005. The line graph presents accommodation options among travellers over the same period.
Overall, there was an upward trend for the number of tourists from the UK and USA, whereas the number of Japan tourists dropped. In contrast, more tourists chose backpacking as a stay towards the end of the period.
It can be seen clearly that Britian and USA reached the same number of tourists in 2005 (1.5 million) which is a significant rise from a decade ago. The figure for Japan tourists finished lower then they started, standing at 1100000 in the period of 10 years.
Comparatively, the amount of travellers that chose hotels and backpacking soared sharply in the first five years, increasing by 800000 for both options. Following that, the figure for backpacking surged steadily while the number of hotel customers declined substantially, making the amount became the same level.
