Overall, the bar chart conveys that Australian female population were more interested in physical activities compared to Australian males, with the single exception of young Australians.
Around 52.8% of males, aging between 15 and 24, participated in regular physical activities, whereas 47.7% of females of the same age showed interest in exercises. This trend reversed for following age groups. Australian males within the age bracket of 25 and 34, exhibited less interest in regular exercises, accounting only for 42.2%. On the other hand, 48.9% females of the same age group did regular physical activities.
39.5% of males between the age of 35 and 44 took part in physical exercises. This was the least percentage among all age groups. 53.3% of females from the age of 45 to 54, did continuous physical activities. This was the highest contribution of any female group among all age brackets. However, both genders exhibited stable trend, after reaching the age of 65 and over, with males and females participation rate accounting for 46.7% and 47.1% respectively.
