The chart gives information about the daily life of five portions of fruit and vegetables eaten by men, women, and children between 2001 and 2008. Overall, the three different groups (men, women, and children) experienced an upward trend in the six years before and had declined in the last of the periods. Moreover, women had the higher eaten portions of fruit and vegetables.
Both men and children had the same rates of fruits and vegetables consumption in 2001, 2002 and 2003 around 12% and 17% respectively, while for women it was slightly increased at 21%, 24%, and 26%.
However, five portions of fruits and vegetables consumption were increased in 2004, 2005 and 2006 around 5% for men and women, while children just over 5%. In 2006, men’s daily consumption of fruit and vegetables had the highest percentage over three different age groups at 33%. In addition, the decrease of fruits and vegetables portions per day in men declined in 2007, opposed by women and children that had decreased in the last periods.
