In 1980, IBM was the least of male participants with around 2%. Then, after 1985, it gradually increased from approximately 11% to around 31% in 2000. Moreover, male engagement in IBM experienced a dramatic surge (more than 60%).
The remaining participants in the two companies showed a significant reversal. In 1980, Apple was initially higher than Microsoft at around 50% and 91%, respectively.
