In 2000, it made up about 31% and rose sharply to about 61% in 2010. Moreover, Microsoft constituted about 8% in 1980 and increased minimally to 10% and 11% in 1985 and 1990, respectively. In 1995, it accounted for nearly 12% and reached almost 15% in 2000, rising dramatically to 45% in 2010.
At the beginning of the period, Apple made up nearly 15% in 1980 and decreased minimally to about 12% in 1985, increasing slightly to 13% in 1990. It experienced a marginal growth to almost 20% in 1995 and fell minimally to almost 19% in 2011, rising slightly to 25% in 2010.
