The bar chart provides a comparison of the percentages of men working in senior development positions in three different companies namely, IBM, Microsoft, and Apple in a period of 30 years.
Overall, there was variation in the proportion participation of males in senior development positions, with IBM leading significantly, Apple had the least, and Microsoft shared moderate level.
According to the graph, in 1980, the share of men enployment in senior development positions was the highest at Apple Company, with around 15 percent, followed by Microsoft, about 8 percent. IBM had the lowest percentages, about 1 percent. During 10-year period, the porportion saw fluctuation in Apple campany, however, IBM and Microsoft witnessed a rise from about 1 percent and 8 percent, to approximately 12 percent and above 12 percent, respectively.
From 1995 to 2010, IBM company sharply increased, and accounted for around 25 percent in 1995, which was larger than that of other companies. By 2010, IBM had the dominant figure, with over 60 percent, followed by Microsoft close to 45 percent. In contrast, Apple had the lewest share at almost 25 percent. Interestingly, All companies witnessed a growth in the percentage of men working senior development positions.
