The bar chart presents the field devotion to India’s gross households product over a 40 year period between 1960 and 2000. Overall, it is clear that the figure of agriculture witnessed a decline whereas services and industry experienced an upward trend. Moreover, products that were originally in the first place fell to the last, same but reversed happened to the last place.
More specifically, agricultural, initially contributed the most to the annual GDP, accounting for 62%. Then it experienced a gradual fall to 53% in 1970. From here, it kept decreasing steadily over the past 30 years before hitting a trough at 14%.
In contrast, services was the least contributing with 16% at the start of the research. Nevertheless, it shot to 23% in 1970 and continued to grow. In 2000, it peaked at 62%, took the first place among other contributions. Meanwhile, the industry sector remained relatively stable when it started at 16% in 1960 and remained at the same influence of 26% during the next three decades.
