The bar chart below displays the total number of minutes(in billions) spent on 3 different types of telephone calls in Australia from 2001 to 2008. Overall, it shows the details of local calls, National and International calls and Mobile Phone calls.
To begin with, the highest number of people spent time on local calls while a moderate amount of minutes were used in National and International calls and lastly the lowest number of minutes were spent on mobile phone calls.
In contrast, it displays that local telephone calls increased gradually from 2001 with a 72 billion minutes and reach its peak which is a 90 billion minutes on 2005 and dropped slightly back to 72 billion minutes on 2008. Secondly, there is a gradual increase of National and International calls from 38 billion minutes on 2001 and reach 61 billions of minutes on 2008.
Further, there is a rapid growth in mobile phone calls from 2 billion minutes to 46 billion minutes over the years from 2001 to 2008.
