The chart demonstrates the durability of phone calls made from Australia, in a 8-year period, from 2001 to 2008. The categories of phone calls are: local, national and international, along with mobile calls.
Looking from an overall perspective, all three categories were becoming more popular with time, with the number of minutes increasing. Local phone calls’ results were the highest throughout the whole time period, while calls from mobile devices was the least popular option. National and international calls were steady for all eight years.
Focusing on details, the number of minutes of local calls had a rise from 2001 to 2004, starting from 72 billion minutes and reaching womping 90 billion. Then it experienced a fall to 72 billion in 2008, which was its starting point. Meanwhile, mobile phone calls were steadily increasing, from just 2 billion minutes in 2001 to 46 billion by the end of the given period, nonetheless it did not get even close to the result shown by calls between locals. Similarly, the international and nationwide calls started lasting longer in 8 years, with an increase of 23 billion minutes, from 38 billion to 61 billion minutes, in 2001 and 2008, respectively, taking the second place at all times.
