The given bar chart illustrates the percentage of female school-leavers in five countries-UK, USA, Australia, South Korea and France, who decided to pursue a university degree in 1980 and 2015.
Overall, the number has increased in all countries from 1980 to 2015, with the exception of Australia remaining the same. South Korea had by far had the lowest figures in both years, whereas the highest in 1980 was Australia and in 2015 it was USA and Australia.
Further it is observed that, UK and USA has a significant growth from 35% to 55% and 38% to 58% respectively. Whereas, France had a small increase from 50% to 55%. Although, South Korea remained having the least figure , it did experience a significant growth of 15%, i.e., from 15% to 30% in 2015. Altogether, Australia remained constant at 55% in 1980 and 2015.In conclusion, there is no significant growth in Australia, though it remains the highest in both the years alongside USA in 2015. It is further noted, South Korea had the least figures in terms of Female school-leavers in both 1980 and 2015.
