The bar chart compares the excessive consumption of vegetables and fish, five or more portions per day among individuals in the UK between 2011 and 2017. Looking from overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the percentages for women
have the highest number of overconsumption, followed by men with steady rise, and lastly children.
Women began the period with 20% consuming more than five portions a day. This figure was stable until 2013, when it started to rise notably for reaching its peak of 36% in 2016. Then, for it fell to 30% at the end of period. The number of men started the period from 16%, and slightly rises until 2015, where they reached 24%, and eventually reached a high of 26% in 2017.
The figures for children were significantly lower initially at 10%, followed by relative surge to 14%. The percentages then fluctuated and ended at a peak of 15% by the end of the period.
