The presented bar chart displays the number of divorces among couples in two European countries, over a span of 4 years, from 2011 and 2015.
Overall, the amount of divorces in Finland and Sweden showed irregular changes throughout the period. At the initial time, there was a rapid increase of divorces in Sweden while Finland showed it’s decrease. However, at the end of the period, Finland overtook Sweden by the number of divorces.
At the initial period, Sweden started with approximately 45% of divorce rates in 2011, reaching its peak in 2012 with around 50%. After reaching a half percentage of divorces, there was a moderate decline between 2013 and 2015. By the end of 2015 , Sweden showed around more than two fifth divorces rates, which means a return to level in 2011.
Comparing to Sweden, Finland showed around 35% of divorce rates at the start of the period, this is 10% less than Sweden had. However, there was a slight decrease of divorces amount in 2012, followed by sharp growth between 2013 and 2015.
