The bar chart and pie chart displays the proportion of volunteers and the number of duties they did in 2010. Overall, it is clear that most of the volunteers belonged to couple and dependent children, and the perfomed their duties as coach instructor or teacher.
In terms of households, almost half of the volunteers came from couple and dependent children, making this by far the most common group in 2010, in New Zealand. Couple with no dependent children account for above a quarter (26.9%), followed by other households representing 12.4%. A minority of 12.4 percent came from the group of one parent or lone person.
Regarding types of jobs, a very large majority of 206,000 performed their responsibilities as coach, instructor or teacher in 2010, in New Zealand. committee member or admistrator is the second choice, with the total number of 158,000 volunteers. 128,000 participated in job of scorer or timekeeper, followed by the category of refrees and umpires representing 98,300 almost half of instructors or teachers. The least job, done by the volunteers was to be medical staff and others, and showed only 62,700.
