The bar chart illustrates the production of fruits in weight (KG) from 2005 to 2015.
Overall, the production of apples and pears were the most high. Oranges was at a mid level of production and gently increased over the period, while peaches’ production was the least among them, even though it rose fractionally in the years of the period.
Pears’ production started at approximately 130 million kgs in 1995. It then witnessed a moderate fall in 2005, making it hit 100 millions kgs, before experiencing another slight decline to around 90 million kgs in 2015. On the other hand, there was a sharp escalation in the production of apples. In 1995, its cultivation was 80 million kgs. This skyrocketed to 110 million kgs, and continued to rise to 120 million kgs in 2015, an approximately 50% increase over the given period.
The extraction of oranges was at 70 million kgs in 2015. There was then a steady upward trend, allowing it to be produced at 90 million of kgs in the final year of the period. The harvest of peaches made a gradual increase between 1995 to 2015, but it was still remained as the least favourite fruit to be harvested within the period.
